DiplomaticDave Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Hello, Im an undergraduate majoring in psychology and this is my final year. Right now I have my sights set on graduate programs and Im undecided on which one I should pursue. As of now I have the ideal that getting an MSW will prepare me for the career I'd like to have which is in therapy and counsiling. My inspiration is from my current job. Im a psychiatric technician at a local hospital. My superiors have MSW degrees and I'd like to be in there position one day. I know an MSW is a versatile degree and I could have many opportunities with it. I'd like to do therapy and counsiling. Is an MSW the right way to go without getting a PH.d? Any suggestions. Im a little lost. DiplomaticDave 1
