Does anyone know if you go to school in FL to get your CCC's if you can move to another state to practice, or is there some other kind of test you have to take to practice from state to state?

Each state has their own licensing requirements.  ASHA grants the CCC, certifying you as clinically competent, however your actual license to practice is granted by the State or State's DPI.

Check the license requirements for the states in which you want to work,  Some states require a specific test for their state only.  There may also be additional requirements based on the setting in which you work (school vs. medical).

Thank you! I have been trying to find TN requirements, but I am not having much luck.  I am trying to make sure that if I go out of state for school, that I can come home to work.  Would I look at the Tennessee Department of Health or where?

As a side note, I've also heard that it's most convenient if you do your CFY in the state where you plan to work long-term. Otherwise, you have to submit more paperwork!

On ASHAs website, they list specific state requirements!

For your CFY, does it matter if it's in a different state than where you got your masters?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but just wanted to make sure
