iameddy Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 (edited) Hello everyone, I really need you help. Could you give me some advice on choosing between statistics PhD program at University of Maryland and University of Virginia? (at present I prefer to go to industry after graduation) Thank you soooooo much! Edited April 10, 2013 by iameddy
JZappa Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 If you are talking about UMD's Mathematical Statistics program I would definitely recommend UVA. UMD's program is very theoretically oriented from what I've seen and is much more on the math side of things than on the application side. I could be wrong but that's the general impression I've gotten from what I've seen.
