Hello everyone, I really need you help.  Could you give me some advice on choosing between statistics PhD program at University of Maryland and University of Virginia? (at present I prefer to go to industry after graduation)

Thank you soooooo much!

If you are talking about UMD's Mathematical Statistics program I would definitely recommend UVA. UMD's program is very theoretically oriented from what I've seen and is much more on the math side of things than on the application side. I could be wrong but that's the general impression I've gotten from what I've seen.

Thank you very much JZappa and wish you all the best!
