math phd, rutgers vs. boston university

I really don't know which I should choose. The locations of both institutions are good: near NYC and in Boston. There are many prestigious universities around both schools, which means collaboration among them. I'm interested in applied math. But I do not have a specific preference of sub fields. Funding packages offered by both schools are almost the same. Any advice/suggestion would help! Thanks a lot!

Thanks for you information. I visited Rutgers several days ago and will visit BU next week. I am aware of the housing expenses around BU. I am not too worried since I'm fully funded. Do you have any insights on the academic reputation of the department? Strength and weakness?
