smartypants14 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Hi Guys, Does anyone know if they favor taking their own undergraduates for the SLP program? I'll be an out-of-state appplicant an was wondering what the chances were. Do you guys know any schools that like accepting out-of-state or out of their own programs? Thanks!
ramswell Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I can't say for sure about your program but I did get accepted at UCF and I'm an international student. During the group interview, they kept stressing that they wanted a more diverse student population at the school. I think if you were one of the few out of state applicants, you might have a good chance. However if the majority of the applicants are from out of state, then i dont think it makes any difference. Good Luck!
emjay Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Just want to say that it is nice that UCF is molding a more national reputation. I'm from the area originally and even though I went away for undergrad I may well end up back there for grad school It may just be the SLP program that's nationally renowned but that's still great to see! Also in-state tuition and being close to my family doesn't hurt.
