I just graduated from University of Oregon with BS in Mathematics. Now I'm going to study Actuarial Science at graduate schools such as Columbia University, University of Iowa, University of Connecticut,Boston University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,Temple University. My GPA is 3.3 but my major gpa is nearly 3.6. I have passed one of the actuarial exams. I also worked as a math tutor when studying at college and have an internship experience. Do you think I'm competitive enough to apply for these top schools?

Im not in your field but here's my two sense based on what I've read around gc. It's hard to say how competitive you are given how many variables exist. Like how good your sop is or how supportive/glowing your LORs are. It also depends on the incoming class and how you fit within the dept. It sounds to me (as a none-math person) as if you have good potential to put together a strong application. But if you want more specific advice my guess is that you'll need to divulge more about yourself...
