So since passing on law school, I have found a job in social science research that is entry level and have been working for two years. My UG degree was in Criminal Justice (was planning on prosecution). Believe it or not, I have been accepted to Oxford for the Masters in Criminology program. It's one year, and will cost about $20,000 (13,000 pounds) + living expenses.

I have no debt and after working for two years, will be able to pay for this out of pocket. The question is, I don't know how much worth this will bring. A master's in a social science isn't all that spectacular, but...it's Oxford. Would a degree from Oxford be worth it, regardless of what it was in?

I've been told that you shouldn't go to graduate school unless you know what you really want to do, so that's where this question comes from. I had a fantastic undergraduate track record and even though I'm in the real world now, I'd hate to see all the hard work I put in UG go to waste. I have an interest in the CJUS system even though I didn't finish LS, but I'm curious as to what kinds of doors that would open. Think tanks? Social policy firms? I don't want to be a cop or correctional officer, and also don't have much interest in becoming a professor.

So what does everyone think, get a masters in CJ from Oxford or keep working/eventually go to grad school for something else.
