Commensurate licensure: UK to US

I'm applying for MSW programs this fall and I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with a few concerns about international study. Though I will largely be applying to schools in the US, I would very much like to apply to 2-3 schools in the UK. Details aside, financially and personally it could be largely beneficial for me to do graduate school in the UK, but I would be most interested in practicing in the United States.

 

I was wondering if anyone has any insight into how easy it is/whether it is possible to be licensed as a social worker in the United States without graduating from an CSWE program. Obviously, it would benefit me in no way in the long run if I came back to the States and had to go through hell to work, or even find that my degree is useless!
