jimmyjimjam Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Hi, could anyone recommend small but good not very competitive universities in the continental USA which decent funding that have strong Medieval literature English programs? Thanks!
jazzyd Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) Are you looking for small as in the program itself is comparatively small (fewer grad students) or small as in the actual university is small? Edited July 25, 2013 by jazzy dubois
jimmyjimjam Posted July 25, 2013 Author Posted July 25, 2013 Thanks for responding. Mostly I mean just ones which aren't well known, ivy league institutions. Something like the university of new mexico, for example. Ideally I'd like a program in a large university.
Porridge Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Your scope is so broad. The best place for you to start is to find scholars you admire and find out where they are teaching.
guinevere29 Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 I'm not sure "not very competitive" and "with decent funding" go hand-in-hand very often. What do you intend to do with your degree? If you want to go on to get a PhD, it's worth considering whether the school you are going to for your MA has a program that will set you up to eventually get into a PhD program.
