I took the GRE recently for the first time and got a 156 on math and but a disappointing 156 on verbal. I am looking apply to the criminology phd programs at these schools for fall:

Maryland

Penn State

Florida

Florida State

I know my verbal score is average that is the only problem and verbal is more important for this major. Do you think its worth retaking to try and get a higher verbal score? or will it not impact funding chances that much. The average for admits at Florida is 150 math/156 verbal/3.7 GPA. My undergrad GPA is 3.9 and masters GPA 4.0 both in criminology/criminal justice.
