PhDplease! Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Hello everyone, I'm graduating at the end of fall semester. I intended to graduate with a Bachelors of Science with an I/O concentration. My advisers just informed me a week before fall semester starts that I need to register for a class which is already closed. I could 1:wait to see if someone drops the course at which time I would be behind in the material, 2: take a class that is a step above the required course or 3: forgo the I/O concentration and graduate with just a BS in Psychology. I want the concentration designation on my transcript to boost my chances of being accepted into an I/O PhD program, that's all. I've taken all but the one computer science course required to fulfill the concentration. So I guess my question to you all is do you think having the concentration designation matters more than taking the classes that would satisfy the concentration? Any advice welcome..Thanks

On a similar note, profs can often enroll additional students into their course at their discretion, this might be worth checking.
