srinivasan92 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I have a GRE score of 320 (166Q and 154V) and I am giving my TOEFL this weekend. I am a computer science undergrad from a university that is ranked among the top 15 in India (College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University). I have a research internship at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore where I worked under the chairman of the CS department. I have a CGPA of 9.03/10. Here are the universities I am planning to apply. It would be great if anyone points out which of these are safe, moderate and ambitious. I have TCS as my field of interest and I would like to pursue a PhD. I am 7th in my class (of 63). Assume that I get a strong recommendation letter and I write a good SOP. 1) Cornell 2) Caltech 3) Univ Wisconsin Madison 4) UCLA 5) UCSB 6) UIUC 7) UTAustin ? Purdue 9) CMU 10) TAMU 11) WashU 12) Johns Hopkins University Thank you in advance!
dat_nerd Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 How long have you done research, and do you have publications or some other method of communicating your research results?
