CHE Gatech vs. Rice

Hi, everybody. I am an international student outside the U.S. I have just gotten two offers from Gatech and Rice. Both are PhD in Chemical Engineering. It is really a hard decision for me to choose one of them. While Gatech has more professors and research projects, Rice has lovely campus and safer environment. Does anyone know more about them? I need your comments. Thanks~~

Hm. that's a tough one. I have colleagues that have attended both.

(1) regardless of which choice, you'll be fine academically, professionally, and career wise.

(2) now GT and Rice both have very safe campus. of course, downside of both is GT campus is in middle of downtown, and Rice campus ( a friend told me) at night or close to evening is not theplace to even walk (lots of muggings, even a rape).

(3) see which one (professor) is more welcoming. go visit. if can't, imho, Houston has a bit more things to do than Atlanta.
