NYU Steinhardt Grad Spring Notification?

OK not to pollute the forum with yet another frantic "when will I know??" thread, but...

 

Anyone else here apply for Steinhardt for spring admission? I applied to the music department in September and the deadline was October first. I'm wondering if anyone else here applied for Steinhardt for the spring and/or has any info on when they got a decision. 

 

I know that fall admissions usually take a month or two to process, however the Spring semester is starting in January and there is a lot of figuring out that needs to happen quickly when I get a decision (work, living situation, financial aid, etc).

 

I'm pretty sure asking them would yield some form of generic response so I'm posting here.

 

Anyone else in the same/a similar boat as me??

Hey bivanov.  I also applied to NYU for spring 14, but to GSAS for CS.  I haven't heard from them, nor have I heard of anyone getting accepted yet.  I was wondering if you have heard anything from NYU yet.

Hey there,

I haven't heard anything official, but my POI said he was going to check into it. From what I've gathered by stalking the forums and their websites, it seems like they send decisions sometime in early December. It's a little worrisome, since registration for spring starts in November. 

Either way, I'll post when I hear more info. Good luck, hope you get in.

I got an email today from CS admissions letting me know that I am missing a letter of recommendation =(.  I submitted all of them.  Gotta see what to do next - if they can somehow find it or if I have to resubmit.

 

For CS, the website says they're reviewing till the end of Nov.

Okay, the issue is resolved.  They found my rec.  They told me my application is complete and will be reviewed.

congrats!! im still waiting...they are saying mid December (and that might be a stretch)- are the CS/music programs large? nutrition only accepts around 40 and there aren't that many applicants...wondering what is taking so long..

Just an inquiry, but does anyone know when they will be sending out acceptance letters for Fall 2014? I know we have a while to go before then, but just curious. Lol The deadline for Fall '14 is constantly being pushed back and is cited to be accepting applicants even after the deadline based off of space. I believe the deadline is now Jan 6th or 7th.
