SocioFem5 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Hi everyone I am looking for a PhD program in Sociology with a concentration in sexuality. Does anyone have any suggestions of additional programs? The only one I was able to find was Georgia State but then I found a post that give me about 5 more schools (UC-SF, UC-SB, CSU, and Kansas). I am getting my masters in sociology, graduating may 2014. I am really interested in the study of sexuality and its intersections with gender, race and culture.
RandomDood Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I would give a look at Santa Cruz and CUNY-GC. In the latter they offer a Women Studies Certificate, and many faculty have interests that might be compatible with the ones you stated (namely, Lynn Chancer, Patricia Clough, Barbara Katz-Rothman and Hester Eisenstein).
SocioFem5 Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 Thank you I will definitely look into those two schools.
