Change of research area..

Hi everyone..I have done my Masters in Nanoscience and technology and completed my Master project in the area of environmental remediation using nanotechnology....now I want to continue my PhD in the field of Energy research..How should I approach potential supervisors as I have no experience in this field..please help.

To begin with you'll need to have completed 6-7 courses in the new area with good grades at the time of application. Your writing sample should be in energy research. Besides, you should be able to link your Masters project with what you want to do in PhD - which I assume is possible.
