ciao77 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Hi all, I recently helped my supervisor electronically submit a rec letter on my behalf--there were two components: a form for spaces for name, institution, position, and contact info., as well as a rating scale for various areas of competency (I.e, interpersonal skills, work ethic, oral/written language skills, etc.), and then a space to write or copy/paste a rec letter. Once we hit submit, I realized we had left the blank for "Institution/ Organization" (that she works for) blank, although we did write down the organization name (it's a preschool) right under her name below the signature part where you'd write sincerely, so and so... If that makes sense. We can't go back and change anything because the forms have been submitted. I am concerned that the missing info. will be looked at suspiciously, and the letter will be dismissed because we did not specify exactly where she works...though that info is right below the actual letter. It was an honest mistake and the only one we made, so I hope it's really not a big deal at all. Any thoughts?
Fardad Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Tell your supervisor to contact their Graduate Admissions Office (or something like that) and tell them about the problem. They are usually nice people and they answer on time.
