Hi all,

Quick question-

I could use some advice. One of my letter writers from last year has not responded to my e-mail requesting his letter again this year. He wrote for me last year but I wanted to check and make sure he was willing to do it again this year. I assume he wouldn't have a problem being that there was no falling out or obvious reason for him not wanting to do it.  Deadlines are fast approaching and I am wondering whether or not to put him down as one. I'm sure he's busy with the end of the semester as well.

Though it's very likely he'd be willing to submit a letter again, I don't think I'd put him on the application until I had confirmation.  I normally have far better luck reaching profs by phone since e-mails tend to be overlooked with the barrage they receive around the end of the semester.

I would also call. I wonder whether some of my letters would have been submitted had I not called
