BME vs Applied Physics vs BIophysics???

I applied to some biophysics programs and found that what "biophysics" means varies widely by school. At some places it basically means conventional membrane dynamics and protein folding; at others, like Harvard, it includes computational approaches to a much broader variety of biological phenomena, like genomics and neuroscience. I'd suggest looking into specific programs rather than seeking a blanket term - I ended up applying to a wide range of programs including general biology, biophysics, and genetics, because the terminology varied so much from school to school.
