Faraday Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 (edited) A ne wstudy was just published in Nature Neuroscience that found a 200mg dose of caffeine (about a mug of coffe) helped participants recognize target images 24hr after the inital viewing when compared to a placebo. I'm curious if any other grad students have found this to be the case when studying for your courses. Obviously recognition is different than more complex textbook reading, but certainly prehaps there is some connection with more complicated studying. Edited January 13, 2014 by Faraday
umniah2013 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I really hope it is not true < can't drink caffeine due to heart problems. My sister, though, could not study unless she had coffee and I mean lots of coffee through out the day. I tried doing the same to see if it really helped during my studies. I noticed nothing but palpitation and severe anxiety. brettmullga 1
