yogie_the_popo Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I was rejected by USF and UCF so far. I have an undergrad in biology an applied to a Masters in Computer Science. I applied to Upenn b/c they have an MCIT program that allows students with different backgrounds into the field. Currently, I'm at UF taking computer science courses to strengthen my cs background. UF won't offer two courses over the summer (Comp. Organization & Data Structures). I was thinking of enrolling at USF or UCF over the summer as a nondegree seeking student to finish those courses and perhaps be able to transition into a masters program. However, noone is returning my calls or emails(Dr. Labrador or Dr. Foroosh). How can I afford it? I live in Gainesville. The course sequence is what UF suggests as minimum admission requirements: Prog Fundamentals I(Java) Prog Fundamentals II (c++) taking Discrete Structures taking Data Structures (summer) Comp. Organization (summer) Operating systems (fall conditional acceptance?) I'm ready to get started. My current job kind of sucks. I'm also looking for better employment. Also, my girlfriend will be leaving on internships soon. I really need and want to start getting my sh*& together! I am looking into taking private loans but I don't want to (my post-bacc status doesn't qualify for financial aid). What options do I have? Are there any schools that will let me in conditionally? What can I do about the graduate coordinators not replying to my emails? I had an phone appointment with one and he just bailed on me. Advice? Ideas?
