iogburu Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 How can one obtain research experience after graduating from their undergrad institutions?
dat_nerd Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Some ideas: Apply for internships at a research lab; volunteer or intern at a professor's research lab; or work on a personal research project with a faculty mentor.
Azazel Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Do you have a friend who's already in a PhD program? Maybe they'd be interested in collaborating on something. This would work even better if you're super friendly with a professor. Otherwise, maybe reach out to some professors who would remember you from undergrad, and see what they say?
DeleteMePlease Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 There are also some (many?) companies that have research departments. I myself will be an intern at a big company and help with some research that will hopefully result in a publication.
