SuperiorDesign Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I am interested in pursuing a Master's degree and possibly a PhD in I/O Psychology. I am a little under 5 years out of Harvard undegrad and I studied Sociology there. The deadlines for all of the PhD programs I know of have passed, and I'm pretty sure I don't have the qualifications (research, prereqs etc to apply to one). I'm applying to Baruch and Hofstra's Master's programs (because of locations and deadlines). Hofstra seems very liberal about letting people get credit for their master's credits from other schools, Baruch is not. My guess is the master's will atleast give me a competitive advantage when applyng to PhD programs...but, of course I'd rather shave off some time. My question is 1. Do people know of other programs that have very favorable transfer policies for someone in my situation. 2. Can any other "non-traditional" students talk about how they broke into I/O psychology. Thanks
