Reputation of M.S.W. programs in Mich?

Hello, hello!  Does anyone have any input on the reputation of different MSW programs in Michigan?  I'm not interested in "rankings" so much as I'm interested in word-of-mouth input on the programs' reputations.

 

UofM is not an option for me, but input on any other CSWE-accredited MSW programs in Michigan would be greatly appreciated! (I think that includes Grand Valley, MSU, Wayne State, Western, and Eastern.)  Thanks a lot!

Generally speaking, Michigan State is on par with U of M in terms of prestige.  MSW programs are very similar - when I attended U of M, one faculty member's favorite joke was "U of M is the top ranked MSW program...in Ann Arbor."  You will not necessarily be a better trained MSW coming from MSU as opposed to the other schools on your list, so in this case I would advice going to the most prestigious school possible.
