abc123456 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Hello, I have decided to quit my PhD in engineering. Has anyone ever done this in the early-middle part of a semester? If so, did you have to pay back the tuition for that semester? I understand that my stipend will stop immediately, but having to pay this semester's tuition would be very difficult. Thank you.
SNPCracklePop Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Depending on the details of your fellowship/funding, you will likely have to pay for this semester. This is just based on the details from my own funding. Wish you the best, good luck!

It's weird, but nothing I signed and submitted at the start of my Ph.D. even mentions the topic of quitting. That's why I really have no idea what the policy would be.
