time2go Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Looking for advice and information regarding graduate diploma/conversion programs . I did not major in Economics as an undergraduate and have seen several schools throughout Europe offering Graduate Diploma's/Conversion Programs in Economics or Econ/Finance that in certain cases assure or help provide the background necessary for a non-econ major to gain admission into MSc (taught and research) programs upon completion. From what I gather these GDip programs are the equivalent of earning your undergraduate degree in Econ but for someone with little background in the subject who is looking to pursue a MSc and potentially a PhD in the subject are these a good starting point? Or is it best to earn a strong GRE Quant score and look for direct admission into an MSc program? Any schools you'd recommend for someone in my situation? Thanks for any info.
