This may be a rather uneducated question, but I wonder if in Anthropology, specifically speaking Socio-Cultural and Linguistic, interviews are common? Does every department/uni ask for interviews?
I mean Harvard web-site indicates interviews are not a part of their formal admission process, so does this mean that not being asked for one from Harvard during the interview period is not necessarily a bad thing?

I would love to get some feedback on this, hope there is someone a bit familiar with the process.
Thanx in advance

I saw someone else got two interviews in linguistic anthropology, but I don't really know much else.
