mwhistorian Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hello everyone, My research has recently taken a new geographic turn and I find myself in need of improving my Spanish speaking, comprehension, and reading skills. I would like to go to an immersion school in Mexico for 3-4 week during the summer (I am already planning to be there in July for research). I also open to programs in Central America as my main concern is travel expense from the program I choose to Mexico City for research later in the summer. I have a basic knowledge of spanish (3 semesters in college and living in the southwest for several years) and an elementary reading level (probably 3-4 grade). I understand that I will not come out of a program fluent in only 4 weeks, but I am looking for a program that I will be able to maximize language practice and instruction. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated, especially if they come from personal experience. Thank you!
