hamedhoras Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Hi, I have applied for UW-Madison, and as an international student I must have faculty adviser. However I have emailed more than 10 faculty whose interests are the same as me, I have not received any email yet. IS THERE REMAIN ANY CHANCE FOR ME IF I CANNOT FIND ANY FACULTY ADVISER? I have applied for ME, PhD. Fall 14.
Buck-I Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I concur with you.. Applied for Industrial Engineering PhD Program. I got a meeting setup with dean and she is not going to taken on any students but shall be discussing about the program.
phdcandidate022014 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) You should probably wait to hear whether or not you have been accepted before you start e-mailing a bunch of people. I don't know the policy at UW-Madison, but many schools discourage contacting faculty during admissions season. Edited February 8, 2014 by phdcandidate022014
