k07Jatin Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) Education institution should actively encourage students to choose a lucrative career. Job of education institutions is to provide best education and guidance. There is no single general career that can be lucrative to everyone who pursue it. This is very subjective decision . It depends on one’s interest , skills , attitude , goals ,expectations that which career one should opt. So , I completely disagree with statement . No education institute can decide which would be lucrative path to whom. Majority of the students aspire to get a good job or set up a business ,be successful there and there by live a happy and luxurious life. Students choose their majors according to their interest keeping many other factor such as probability of getting success in that field, initial earning opportunities , earning growth rate , future of that field. They join education institution to get knowledge and to sharpen their skills . One has to be successful in whatever one does to earn a good amount of money. And to be successful one should ne loving his job ,one should have all the knowledge and adeptness to do his job. Any career-path can be high-earning. It can be job as lawyer , doctor or teacher. If teacher thinks that doctor is a high paying job and motivates the students to be doctor ,may possible many students would have some different interests and skills . Sachin Tendulkar might not be one of the most successful cricketer if he had tried to pursue his career in some other job than cricket. Same can be said for many other successful people . Mark zukerberg might not be at the top of the business if had selected any other job . So , it is very important to select a job according to skills and interests. However , it can also be said that it is better to go with statistical reports . If look at the probability , there may be many starving artists but almost no starving doctor. Means , chances of being successful and earning enough money to survive as a singer or as painter are less than chances of a doctor’s chances of having a successful career. In this way students can make all calculations keeping his skills, personal goals, desires , interests in mind to minimize the risk of being unsuccessful. In the conclusion , we can say there is no general career that can be lucrative to everyone who pursue it. The decision depends on many factors . One can make decision by calculating different factors affecting it and select a best possible option as career . So , education institution should guide to make this decision and help students to indentify their hidden talent and skills .Institutions should not insist particular career as this is very subjective decision no single guidance can work for every student.
