I don't think so. I heard from my POI that this year is extremely competitive and most of the professors will admit only one student. They haven't finalized decisions yet.

I applied to UPenn, CS PhD with focus in Robotics. I saw a few posts regarding rejection today. But I cannot see any message either on the on-line application or the "GradConnect" ... anyone with similar situation?

May be it is a good news that we haven't received a rejection yet ... but not really very sure .. anyway, can you share your profile?

My profile: 1 IJRR paper; 5 Conference Papers; 2 Workshop Papers; 1 ICRA 2014 paper was under review at the time of application ... GRE (gave in 2010) 410/770/3.0 (v/q/a) ... Undergrad 6.275/10 (India, IIT Roorkee 2011); Grad GPA 3.9/4 (2012-2014) ... 2 internships --- 1 in Israel (7 months) .. 1 intern during summer 2010 undergrad (at UMass Amherst, Aut. Learning Lab) ...

I just found that it is not able to log into the apply yourself system now. Maybe some news will come tomorrow. So far, I have not heard anything from Upenn robotics yet.

I was emailed by a professor and asked to visit, which I did on the 10th. Nothing since but no rejection. As of now site still says its under review. Interest in distributed systems, scheduling, and queuing. If I get accepted here it will probably be between Penn and UIUC. Opinions?

No idea, might be bad or it might not. IMO most app sites seem to be poorly constructed and hard to understand.
