Abualjood Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I'm very confused regarding the GRE subject test. I don't know If I really need to take it. I'd be happy to study and gain more knowledge in genetics and molecular biology but my time is not helping. On the other hand, being an international applicant is worrying me. I'm planning to apply for Molecular Medicine programs, I'll be aiming schools that come in ranking 10-30. Most of the programs are either not mentioning the subject test as a requirement for admission or they recommend it. I'm still preparing for the GRE revised test. Please take a look at my credentials and give me a feedback. MD GPA 3.5 US citizen 20 months research at two different labs both at top schools Two recommendation letters from these two lab, one is very strong, the other one is good GRE and TOEFL not done yet. GeoDUDE! Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 If something is recommended is it a good idea to do it?
Abualjood Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 If something is recommended is it a good idea to do it? It's been said that this recommendation is directed to those who had an undergraduate studies that don't include science. astaroth27 1
bsharpe269 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I plan on taking the subject gre. If you study properly then it should only benefit your application!

RatsWithHats Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I know people who got accepted to programs that "require" it (scripps) without it.
