Hi!

I received a mail from UC Berkeley that I have been shortlisted for the interview for M.Eng. program.

Has anybody else also got such a mail?

Also, what are such kind of interviews like? Actually I didnt know about this interview process and thus it is a really short notice for me.. What kind of interview can I expect it to be?

Any suggestions please...

We have very similar stats!

My gpa is a 3.90,

GRE: 160 Q/153 V/5.5 AW,

toefl: 111.

Congratulations on your interview! I haven't gotten anything yet, but I'll keep positive.

Since I haven't interviewed for the M.Eng program, I don't know what you could expect. Best of luck!

Thanks! Best of luck to you too!

And I hope that I find someone who can share his/her interview experience that could help... As I really have absolutely no idea what to expect in it...

Any idea on does everyone who applies to the M. Eng. Program gets an interview call? Or are there direct admits also?

And what can one expect from such a call? Does this mean that your application is at good place or it is at same level as that of others?

Hi. I did my interview this past weekend. It was just a chat with a current MEng student. I don't know if the interview is any indicator of where our application stands. Good luck !

Oh nice.. What was it all about? Were there any technical questions?

What all did they ask and talk about?

Pl share your experience...

It was about 30 minutes long. No technical questions. Just a discussion about the program and why you want to attend.

Do update if somebody gets to know anything....

Is the selection process left to the fung institute? Or is it done by the individual departments?

PS: This is because I was interviewed by a MEng student, of a different department.

I also interviewed for Berkeley's MEng program, but in Bioengineering. I was told at the end of the interview that they planned to have decisions made by March 15th. I am assuming it is similar for EECS.

Good luck!

And please do post here if you get any updates...

That way at least we will know they have started sending out decisions! :)
