Question about NIU & University of Michigan

Morning All,

 

So I have a question regarding what's it like departmental wise at NIU (Northern Illinois University) and University of Michigan for an MA in Southeast Asian Studies. I understand each department is different, but just looking for opinions from those of you out there on what it's like at these schools. I understand it should be more a matter of POI's at each place and both for me have their merits (language programs, prestige, faculty etc)

 

Any thoughts would be helpful.
