marco.g. Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Hi, I am currently waiting for CUNY to respond with an offer. They wrote me last month that they "have high hopes to offer [me] the Chancellor's Fellowship". Then last week (in response to an e-mail) they informed me there was still "no movement". Just out of curiosity, is thee anyone out there who is holding on to this offer? And if so, does this respective person(s) plan on accepting this offer? And if not, would you mind turning down this offer at your convenience asap? This is a very stressful time. I have a couple offers that I must respond to by the 15th. I really want to go to CUNY though for I have family in the city (not that everybody doesn't have family in the city). It would be very sad to accept another offer before CUNY gets back to me. It would be even sadder to not take any other offer and find out CUNY can't fund me. And my final question... Is anyone familiar with the CUNY system enough to tell me, given they have "high hopes" to offer me the Chancellor's Fellowship, that there is some certainty I would at least get a GTF or Adjunct position? Thank you for your time. Best Regards, marco

justzero Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Hi Marco, I live in NYC and I'm interested in applying to the grad center. I'm curious. What kind of offer did you get?
