1091098098 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Hey Dazed, was your Deans Scholarship 11k? (Mine is, I'm trying to determine if they come in larger increments)
uncgrad2009 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Not sure what increments that they come in. Not enough funding that I'd seriously consider going for sure.
dazed Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Mine was less, unfortunately. I'd be pretty happy with 11k!
alvarob Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Hi, i did get accepted at Harris, but i need the official letter for a scholarship, did any of you already got it (in paper, not online)?
katieh Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 For those who have received little to no funding, how are you justifying spending 80-90k on a masters? I'm finding that decision a tough one to make, seeing as I'm looking at going to other programs for less (about 60k). I was hoping for others input as to why you feel it's worth taking the extra loans?
estrauss Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Hey katieh, I also think that's a tough decision, but I've decided that I can't really justify it, given my other options. Ultimately, I think you have to decide for yourself based on your career and life goals, realistic salary expectations, and your tolerance for debt. I am very debt averse, and I know I probably won't be making much more than $100k a year ever (at least in adjusted dollars), let alone in my first few years after graduation, so I've decided not to attend Harris or Harvard, as they're just too expensive, especially given that I have more reasonably-priced options.
uncgrad2009 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I also declined my offer of admission here as well so this might open up a spot on the waitlist for someone.
edcui Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 submitted my application on April 15 and got on wait list the next day.. wonder if they put all non-admitted applicant on wait list??
cherryhuangchen Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I have been waitlisted for more than six weeks, and I still haven't got any updates yet. But it seems that Harris starts to release decisions again.
jz19 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Are you guys following Harris Admissions on Twitter? (https://twitter.com/HarrisAdmission) " we intend to release all wait list decisions by first week of May. Stay tuned!" Good luck!
edcui Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 “All wait list decisions will be released during the first week of May. Stay tuned!” from twitter/
Reasonablyterrified Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Don't sweat it. I promise if you don't get into Harris it isn't the end of the world.
