IntrepidTraveler Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone, It appears Chapman has began to send out acceptances. I am accepting to this program and will be coming from out of state. I would really appreciate if the fellow accepters and I could establish a communication hub of some sort. I would like to create a facebook group but I can't seem to get it to work (apparently creating a group requires you to invite others and you can't have it be empty - I don't know anyone else going here so hence, no group can be formed). Anyone else want to give a facebook group a try? All in all, congrats to the good news. I am excited to be apart of such an energetic program and look forward to creating a community with you guys! If you happen to still be waiting, do not fret, the season is young. Cheers! Edited March 17, 2014 by IntrepidTraveler
IntrepidTraveler Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 Congrats! I sent you a message on here. Anyone else?
mariapatricia Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I got in, too! Is there a Facebook page yet? Also, if anyone else is reading this, have you guys heard anything about chapman's program? I know someone from their post bac didn't have good things to say, they said it was unorganized. I'm hoping the grad program isn't that way. But I just need to hear it from someone who's been in the program.
IntrepidTraveler Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) Congrats on your acceptance! I have communicated with a few individuals from their program and hold high regards for their program. I accepted the offer immediately because it seems that their program is devoted to creating proficient and autonomous clinicians. They have many structures put in place so that their grad students receive very personalized instruction in and outside the classroom. For example, their clinic sups meet with one another to discuss ways to become a better supervisor and fit the needs of each of their grad students. How awesome is that! Everyone involved with their program is on board 100%. I also find the faculty is very open to connecting with students who want to push their interest further than the classroom. These are only a few of the many qualities that attracted me to their program. Feel free to ask me questions, I will do my best to share my impressions. I cannot say that this system is the same for their PB program, thus the potential for varied experiences. Anyways, no facebook page yet. I have not connected with anyone who has accepted their chapman admission. Once I do, I will be able to make a CU class of '16 page (I need to invite people to create the group otherwise facebook won't let me create it). Best wishes for everyone, Edited April 3, 2014 by IntrepidTraveler
mariapatricia Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I accepted the offer and turned in my Intent to Enroll form yesterday! You can start a Facebook group now! So far, I heard from a U of Redlands professor that two people (not including me) have chosen Chapman over Redlands. So there's at least 4 of us that will be attending that I know of.
