decline after accepting

Hello, I am an international student. Recently, I was admitted to a Master's program of one of the top IVY schools.   They are requiring me to decide whether I will enter or not, until 15th April. Meanwhile, I am on the waitlist of another Master's program of another top IVY school, and the decision on waiting applicants would be made after 15th April. As the latter has long been my dream school, I cannot accept the offer of the former school easily. But, I also know that I should accept the offer from the former, regardless of the further decision.

 

In this circumstance, if I would receive the offer from my dream school on May, can I cancel the decision on the former school, and then enroll in the latter school? Would be there any problems with the registration process?

 

I am so sorry for other waiting applicants for the former school.
