ljhslp Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Anybody else on here accepted to the USC distance program and thinking about attending?! I have so many questions, and I'd love to connect with some potential future classmates!
soccer2grl Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Hi! I got in here but I don't know if I'll attend. Still waiting to hear from other schools.
ljhslp Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 I'm still unsure about attending, too.. Pending results from other schools and learning more about the program (ie: cost, curriculum, etc). Have you heard much about the program? What are your thoughts?
soccer2grl Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I saw on the results forum that we actually don't need to let them know if we are attending until April 15. The post said it was a type-o. I definitely won't hear from all my other schools by then, so I hope this is true. Anyone else know?
ljhslp Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 I'm the one who posted that. I emailed the director and she said they can't actually require us to respond until the 15 of April. It's a rule for all schools participating in CSDCAS based on the Council of Academic Programs for Communcation Sciences and Disorders (CAPCSD).
marina_ballerina Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Oh, what a relief! I'm glad you wrote to clarify that. Of the three schools I've been accepted at so far, USC is the highest ranked but also the most expensive by $50K. So I'll probably go with Northern Colorado or Eastern New Mexico. I'm having trouble really committing to that decision, though. How does one compare grad schools, anyway?
