pomeranian Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 So I was just informed by hofstra that I need to take aural rehabilitation either the summer before I start the masters program (this summer 2014) or the summer in between the first and second year. I was really hoping to have some time to relax this summer, but I'm also worried that it will be difficult to take it while in the program. Halp !
sayjo Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Utah State has an online version of Aural Rehab (COMD 5330). The cost for their classes is fairly reasonable - I believe it's $275 per credit hour. Also, I think all their summer courses are over by the end of July, so that should hopefully leave you a couple weeks to relax!
daisynic Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I think if it's the only class you need to take, you will still have a relaxing summer! I took Aural Rehab for half a semester the semester I did student teaching along with another course that was only for half a semester. The second half of the semester is when we did our student teaching placement, so those two classes were designed so that we could complete the requires credits. I remember how pleasing it was to only be taking two classes - I had so much free time and did really well in both of those classes because it was really the only thing I needed to focus on. It would probably be nice to get it out of the way!
