jgoodso2 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Hey all, I've been accepted to two great programs for an MA in International Relations. I'm hoping to work for the Department of State or the Department of Defense, and I'm wondering which of these schools will help me get there. I really love UChicago, and they're offering me 1/3 tuition off. However, I'm worried that the year-long program will be too short to gain much professional development (though the academics will of course be stellar.) I'm tempted to pick American University just for its location in DC, but they're not offering any fellowships. Do AU students have a decent reputation in DC compared to Georgetown and GW? Does anyone know how either of these schools fare in the job market later? Any advice is appreciated, and please no links to the websites' alumni success pages. I've already combed through those!
