whoami24601 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Music is a HUGE part of my life. I play clarinet and have been in band since 6th grade (lord... about 10 years now). I really hope to continue to play in a band when in grad school!
Jack Hawksmore Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) I am also a musician. Grew up playing acoustic Americana music in a blue grass band (mandolin, guitar, upright bass, banjo, piano) and have since been in Irish, rock, a cappella groups, and done lots of singer/dancer work both in the U.S. and internationally. I love soul style singing (I call it "Sangin") to old time folk blues and grass roots style music. Someday I want to go to Asheville and the sweet mountain music of Western Carolina <3 Edited April 5, 2014 by Jack Hawksmore

We are pretty damn similar...except I'm a fiddle player (and some mando, guitar, and piano) and over the past several years I've been much more in the Celtic scene, though I love both traditional and contemporary Americana as well. I've been getting into some funky Scandinavian stuff as well. Any major influences or favorite groups/artists?
