NYU Poly Application Struggles

Has anyone else struggled with contacting NYU Poly?  I applied for a MS in Computer Science can't even describe my level of frustration at the moment..

 

Early Nov 2013 - took GRE and had scores sent to all schools applying to

Late Dec 2013 - had transcripts sent to all schools applying to

Mid Jan 2014 - finished NYU Poly application and submitted

Late Feb 2014 - notice status on NYU Poly application status website is "missing documents" email general grad office email twice asking what is missing, no reply so I call the office and talk to someone who confirms they are only missing my transcripts but the woman I spoke to confirmed that my transcripts were sent to the correct address and said because my transcripts were sent at a different time than my application, they might not be matched up yet, that my status would change automatically soon.  (weird because my GRE scores were sent way earlier and they matched those, and all my other schools received my transcripts)  I asked if I should re-order my transcripts and she assured me no, I shouldn't worry.

March 1 - deadline for applying to the program passes.  In the first week or two of March I try calling the office a few times but no one answers.

March 20 - receive an email from the Assistant Director saying they haven't received my transcripts and if I believed they should have, to contact him so he can look into it.  I have emailed him three times since then and have left him a message on his personal line which he gave to me in the email (of course he never answers though). No replies whatsoever.

March 26 - receive an email reply from one of the emails I sent to the generic office email address back in FEB saying not to worry, if I sent it then they will match it up and my status will change from "missing documents"

 

Seriously, what the heck!  I can't get ahold of anyone!  I've seen people being admitted on this forum and I'm so frustrated because I can only guess I'm not being considered because they've lost my dang transcripts!  I went ahead and re-ordered them yesterday which I realize I should have just gone ahead and done a while ago.. I just can't believe that guy would give me his personal email and phone number and then not reply, especially when the deadline for making decisions is so close. I wonder if he doesn't want to admit that the office lost them..?  Or maybe he knows from looking at my other materials that I don't have a chance anyway so he doesn't bother replying?

 

Has anyone else had these kinds of struggles with NYU Poly or other schools?  It's so unfair.. I don't know what to do.

my NYU Poly app said I was missing documents for a couple days in march. I emailed the coordinator for my department and they responded that they just had to match up the transcripts from the grad admissions department and not to worry. Now my app says it is complete and under review but in another line still says incomplete. Although it now lists all the components (like transcripts, gre scores etc) and says received next to them

I guess I had a similar problem with "missing documents", but it was with my letter of recommendation.  NYU's site says that they only accept letters of recs online, unless under some exceptional circumstances, they will take paper recs.  Well, I submitted one of my recs on paper.  A month later, I was told I was missing required documents.  I called them to find out what happened.  It was really the paper rec that they said was missing, but they said they had found it already.  Problem was solved after that.
