deeringcenter Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 So I've been accepted to both of these programs. They have both offered me some money (with Heinz offering a bit more). I am trying to decide between the two. I understand that Fletcher is a more academic and more internationally focused program, whereas Heinz is more practical and domestically focused. Really, I'm just trying to get a job afterwards, with the State Dept, USAID, think tank, or consulting firm. Does anyone have any thoughts/ideas? Anyone also weighing similar options, or have useful insight into either of these programs?
Jjjjjbird Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 I went to Tufts undergrad, and I honestly think you can't go wrong with Fletcher (although I admittedly have little knowledge of how it compares to Heinz). As far as Tufts go, I really can't talk enough about how much I love it, and Fletcher has an incredible reputation. I don't think you would have any trouble getting a job at all in your field with a degree from Fletcher. As an undergrad, I was able to attend lectures sponsored by Fletcher that were incredible - Bill Clinton and John Kerry. AND it's part of Tufts, so really, it's a no brainer Good luck! deeringcenter 1
