Sheepdisease Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I'm trying to work out when Weber first mentioned the seven characteristics of bureaucracy. I've got a book which refers to Max Weber's 'Bureaucracy' in H. H. Gerth and C. Wright Mills eds., From Max Weber (Routledge and Kegan Paul, 1948), pp. 196-8. I don't have access to the source to check, but is this the first source of his writings on the subject or was it in 'The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism' or something else and if so, please state the title, publisher, place of publication and relevant page numbers. Thank you very much for your consideration!
Milkman95th Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I am pretty sure it was in Economy and Society... in the section called Bureaucracy.
Sheepdisease Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 Thanks for that, a little late, but thank you anyway.
