squeak99 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Considering the brand + optimistic feasibility of Assistant-ships + thin chances for internship and mediocre job scenario at Ga Tech and the mediocre univ+ no funding opportunities+compulsory 6-month coop+good job prospects due to coop and location Boston at NEU what would be the best one to pick? I will be really happy to welcome views from different people! Thanks & Regards
bsharpe269 Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Did you get funding at GT? How would the prices of the two compare?
squeak99 Posted April 25, 2014 Author Posted April 25, 2014 I didn't get any funding at GT but when I was talking to seniors I got know that almost everyone would end up with RA ship(tuition waiver) at least by the second semester and all we can rely at Northeastern is on on-campus jobs mainly because it doesn't provide any Assistant-ships. But as I was saying the job/internship scenario at Northeastern is better compared to GT. So I am kind of confused among these two.
Wishful Thinker Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 (edited) I'm also having trouble deciding between these two. According to me: NEU - Its in boston which is a huge plus + co-op sounds good GATech - very reputed I would love to hear your opinions. Thanks Edited March 18, 2015 by Wishful Thinker
Cb_sarf Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I know this is an old thread but i'm just wondering what did you end up choosing? If you chose GA Tech, did you get an assistantship?
