kageatmars Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Hey guys, I applied to computer science department (and already got admissions from USC, Penn state, Ohio and SUNY). However, I just got an e-mail from my top choice NYU stating that I'm waitlisted and will be notified of a final decision by May 30. I want to ask if anyone knows the odds of getting off NYU's waitlist according to the past experience, or any information regarding this. Thanks.
kageatmars Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 sorry I didn't notice your reply. I'm now applying MS program with 102 TOEFL and 149/168 GRE. Around 3.5 GPA in top-3 university in Taiwan. I have no publication though I had been RA in school for few months and attend small projects in two interns(summer time). LORs and SOP are not excellent but I believe they are at least not under average. I wonder how hard of getting off NYU's waiting list is. I assume that there are 50% chance(?) of being accepted, while in the same time I am also afraid it's too competitive that AD become more difficult this year.
