Georgia, Athens or Gainesville, Florida

Dear all, I am an international student that have been admitted into the Epidemiology program of UGA and UF.

 

I know that the 2 universities are quite similar in terms of ranking, so I want to make de decision more in regard of the city and the university live and atmosphere.

 

Can you please give any input?

And if someone has attended this universities if you can give me your opinion about the quality of the academia.

I've lived in both towns...Athens is beautiful and quaint, but I found it very conservative compared to Gainesville.  Depending on where you're coming from, I think you'd probably be better off in Florida...
