Transferring into a new program

Hi everyone:

 

I'm currently in a PhD sociology program but I'd like to move to another school, ideally UCLA or Columbia.  Does anybody have any advice on how that is received by both programs (the one I'm looking to leave and the one I'm looking to join)?  Grades, pubs, and all that are good.

You should frame it in terms of your interests shifting and being better supported in another department.

1st of all you should find the school where shifting facility is available. If there is any option for shifting then it would be better for you and you can work for both programs. Tahir abbas facebook
