Possibilities of getting admitted after updating application for next year at USC

Hi,

I received an admit for Computer Science Masters program at USC for Fall 2014. Because of financial reason, I asked them to defer my admit for a year but the officials said that the application is not deferred but instead updated i.e. it will be reconsidered as fresh application next year. What are my chances of getting admit again next year? If anybody, who did same in past, can reply, then it will be very helpful.

Well how early did you get accepted? If you were a first round offer or relatively early, then I dont see why you wouldn't get in again next year. But if you got one of the last seats available, then obviously it could go either way.

I got the acceptance mail in the first week of April. They have also asked me to update my application with relevant information, containing details about work done in the break year. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
